In his excellent book on Climate Change and Climate Activism Being the Change, Climate Scientist Peter Kalmus suggests that we all begin our journey towards stronger climate action by calculating our own emissions and shows how to sketch out a pretty good estimate with a calculator and a piece of paper in ten minutes or so.

But there are also great options for doing it online.

Project Neutral uses Canadian Data and takes about five minutes.  The upside is that you can go in and put more detail on areas of your lifestyle you’re especially interested in.  You have to provide an email address — but they’ve only ever sent me one email, so don’t worry.

Sitra has a calculator that is a little quicker and doesn’t require an email, but it’s European so you will have to figure out the size of your home in m².
